Charles Lotton Featured Artist
Charles Lotton began his glass making career in early 1973. After experimenting with many different formulas, Charles developed his own secret formulas for creating magnificent and rare glass colors. Known for his Multi Flora design, Charles’ ever emerging designs and colors have placed him among the most renowned glass artists in the world. In addition to the private collections of many serious art glass collectors, Charles Lotton’s art can be found gracing the shelves of the Smithsonian Institute, the Corning Museum of Glass, the High Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. Just as the names of Tiffany and Steuben ushered in the art glass movement of the early twentieth century, Lotton Art Glass is leading the way into the twenty-first century.

Today you will find Charles working on new colors or pushing the color combinations of his new cypriot pieces.  These pieces are unique in design, color and texture.  Monet-like some say Charles' Cypriot pieces are not only beautiful they are a feat of glass chemistry!  Some of these pieces combine an excess of ten colors, layering reactive to non-reactive glasses.  Charles' colors from sand are some of the most unique ever made in the history of glass.  Owning a piece of Charles Lotton's work is owning a piece of history.
